Quality and safety our top priority

All the variety of services and processes provided by Vessel Technical Services (VTS) are based on a Quality Management System and Health & Safety Management System in compliance with the national and international industry regulations and standards.
VTS’s staff has the skills, training and qualifications needed to provide tailored solutions to the variety of customer’s needs and expectations. Special processes are carried out by VTS srl with the greatest expertise, according to European standards and to American codes.
Health and safety culture is highly promoted within the company. To encourage and implement a safer worker environment, VTS has a team of accredited health & safety instructors who provide internal training to the personnel to enhance the awareness about plant safety (machinery, equipment, appliances, implements and tools) and injury prevention and protection.

 

Quality Management System

• ISO 9001:2015

Since November 2010 VTS is certified in accordance to ISO 9001:2008 (nowadays ISO 9001:2015).

OH&S Management System

• ISO 45001:2018

VTS has a management system in place based on Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards. Previously certified to OHSAS 18001, the company has officially migrated to ISO 45001:2018.

Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training - BOSIET

• OPITO Standards

VTS’s technicians undergo a high level of training in basic offshore safety emergency response including the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS). The BOSIET training includes sea survival, self-rescue, first aid, fire safety and basic firefighting.

Netherlands Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association

• NOGEPA Standards

VTS sea-going teams are trained to work in the particular area of the North Sea, they receive an Additional Basic Safety Training for Norwegian Sector in line with the Mutual Recognition of Basic & Refresher Safety & Emergency Preparedness Training Matrix agreed between NOGEPA, Danish Operators, Norwegian Oil and Gas Association and Oil and Gas UK.

VTS has signed a written arrangement with F.I.R.A.S. – S.P.P., an officially recognized Italian organization of health and safety representatives. The synergistic cooperation with FIRAS permits VTS to effectively train the personnel on health and safety issues, assuring the company to be regularly updated with the current legislation and maintain an ongoing improvement in HSE.
